Job Title: Creative Arts & Expressive Writing Facilitator (Remote, 1-on-1) The Mission Job hunting can leave people feeling stuck, anxious, and disconnected. We are looking for an inspiring Creative Facilitator to help job seekers use art and writing as a therapeutic outlet. You will provide remote, personalized guidance to help clients process stress, relax the mind, and ground their wellness through creative expression during challenging seasons of change and uncertainty. What You Will Do * Tailor 1-on-1 remote sessions utilizing expressive writing, journaling, sketching, or visual art to release stress. * Teach practical creative exercises that clients can use to ground themselves and clear their minds before interviews. * Guide job seekers in using creativity to process the emotional ups and downs of rejections and career uncertainty. * Help clients build a sustainable, daily creative practice that acts as a mental sanctuary during their job search. * Conduct virtual sessions with a deeply supportive, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental online presence. * Contribute digital wellness content 1x a week to our in-platform digital library * Build your brand and drive bookings by offering free small group discussions or webinars in our in-app virtual rooms Who You Are * Certified or Experienced Guide: You hold credentials or have extensive professional experience in Art Therapy, Expressive Writing, Therapeutic Journalism, or Creative Coaching. * Creativity Champion: You know how to make creative expression accessible to beginners who claim they "aren't creative." * Empathetic Listener: You understand the psychological weight of unemployment and use art as a gentle tool for emotional processing. * Digital Innovator: You are skilled at guiding hands-on, tactile artistic processes smoothly over video software. About The Workaround Collective The Workaround Collective is a newly formed 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit headquartered in Bryan, TX. Our mission is to leverage the power of human connection to support job seekers through the demands and challenges of their job search. We connect them to educational, wellness, and career-support experts, mentors, peers, and educational and financial resources through our in-house digital library and (future-planned) grants-assistance programs. Because we are newly launched, we are intentionally starting small as we ramp up. This role is a great fit if you want a fun, creative, and inspiring place to work — fully remote, with flexible hours and the freedom to build a meaningful side hustle while helping to build a community that cares. The minimum hours required to start is to be available at least 4 hours per month for 1x1 virtual sessions with job seekers. The long term vision is for the Workaround Collective to transition our experts to direct staff as the organization expands and funding grows.
